Prison Sentence for Crimes Against a Child

Antonio Becerril Soria, 46, of Fort Myers, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced today to 20 years in prison, followed by 10 years of sex offender probation, after pleading guilty to one count of Familial or Custodial Sexual Battery. Soria was also designated as a Sexual Predator.

In 2019 the victim disclosed to a family member about past sexual abuse by the defendant. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and their investigation led to the arrest of Soria.

Assistant State Attorney Christine Cummins and Assistant State Attorney Clark Cary, both in the Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case.
