Prison Sentence for Crimes Against a Child

Today Jackie Johnson Jr., 42, was sentenced to 18 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of Lewd or Lascivious Conduct. The defendant was also designated a Sexual Offender for life.

In Lee County, in April 2018, the defendant entered a room where a child was sleeping and sexually battered her. The victim then told her mother what happened and she reported it to the authorities. Johnson was identified and later arrested.

Assistant State Attorneys Michael Colombo Jr. and Natalie Stowe Heiderscheit handled the case.
