Prison Sentence for Crimes Against Children

Talmadge Jacobs, 67, has been adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by 70 years of sex offender probation. He is also now a designated sex offender.

He was arrested in 2022, following an investigation by the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, involving claims of sexual battery on two child victims.

In the first case, he was sentenced for one count of Attempted Sexual Battery on a Child Less than 12 Years of Age. In the second case, he was sentenced for two counts of Attempted Sexual Battery on a Child Less than 12 Years of Age and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.

Assistant State Attorney Alexa Lipham prosecuted the case.
