Prison Sentence for Crimes Against Children

Michael Patrick Kenny, 55, of Cape Coral, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to seven and a half years in prison, followed by 15 years of Sex Offender Probation, for crimes against children.
The defendant was also designated a Sex Offender for life. He pled guilty to one count of Lewd or Lascivious Battery and one count of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.

Two children reported past sexual abuse by the defendant, to a family member. The Cape Coral Police Department investigated and that led to the arrest of Kenny.

Assistant State Attorney Clark Cary, of the Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case.
