Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Brown and Assistant State Attorney Lawrence Raab prosecuted the case.

The crimes came to the attention of law enforcement in 2018 when the child victim told a pastor about sex crimes committed by the defendant on several occasions throughout Collier County. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and began an investigation.

As part of that investigation, deputies arranged a controlled call between the victim and the defendant, in which the defendant made incriminating statements about sexual activity with the child, leading to his arrest.
