Prison Sentence for Sexual Activity with an Animal

Samantha Lee White, 28, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 3 years in prison, followed by 3 years of probation, for Sexual Activity with an Animal. She was also ordered to have no possession of animals or live with any animals during her probation.

The defendant was put on the Animal Abuser Registry which tracks any person who has been convicted with a felony and/or misdemeanor involving animal abuse and cruelty offenses. She was also ordered to pay court costs and the cost of prosecution.

Assistant State Attorney Stephanie Russell, Lee County Circuit Court Chief, and Assistant State Attorney Natalie Savino, Hendry/Glades County Circuit Court Chief, prosecuted the case.

The defendant was arrested in February 2024 following an investigation by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. The defendant admitted to law enforcement that she had sexual contact with a canine.

There is a co-defendant who has a pending case.
