Prison Sentence in Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon Case

Christopher Patrick Lee was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 7.5 years in prison for two counts of Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon. He was convicted on April 25,
2023, following a jury trial in Collier County.

On December 21, 2019, a Collier County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the parking lot of Rusty’s Bar on Immokalee Road, in reference to a person hit by a car. Two victims were located at the scene. A man was found on the ground and a second man was against a curb nearby.

Witnesses advised that earlier there had been an argument and the two victims were trying to leave. As they were pulling away in a pick-up truck, the defendant threw two bottles at the truck, with one making impact.

The victims pulled back into a parking space and got out. The defendant then got into his SUV and drove into them. The SUV struck one victim in the head and clipped the other. The defendant then fled the scene. Witnesses were able to positively identify Lee, leading to his arrest.

Assistant State Attorney Brian Ashby prosecuted the case.
