Prison Sentence in Sexual Battery Case

Rafael Nilo Lorenzo was adjudicated guilty and sentenced today to 100 months in prison, followed by 80 months of sex offender probation, for Sexual Battery. He was also
designated a Sex Offender. Lorenzo was found guilty in February following a trial in Collier County.

The defendant was a maintenance worker for an apartment complex in Naples. In 2019, he went into the victim’s apartment and forced himself on her in her kitchen. The victim’s family member arrived shortly after the attack and located the defendant, who then fled.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene and found Lorenzo near a maintenance shed. He admitted to the attack and was subsequently arrested.
