Prosecutors Recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD)

The State Attorney’s Office 20th Judicial Circuit had several Assistant State Attorneys nominated for the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Outstanding Prosecutor Recognition.

According to MADD the nominees have shown “impressive dedication to saving lives on Florida’s roadways through exemplary prosecution of impaired drivers and by working to eliminate drunk, drugged and substance-impaired driving, supporting the victims of these violent crimes or preventing underage drinking.” The nominations were received for cases and work done in 2018.

The nominees from our office are Assistant State Attorneys Caitlin Sorensen, Kyle Stublen, Mara Marzano and Martin Stark. Assistant State Attorneys Marzano and Stark work in our Homicide Unit and specialize in vehicular manslaughter cases.

“I am extremely proud of the hard work our nominated prosecutors put in day in and day out. They are very dedicated to finding justice for the victims in their cases. We are also proud of our partnership with MADD and appreciate the work they do,” said State Attorney Amira Fox.

There were 14 nominees recognized from throughout the state of Florida. A prosecutor from the 17th Judicial Circuit won the honor. Some of the nominees attended the Statewide Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony in Fort Lauderdale.
