Jhonni August, 28, of Naples, was found guilty as charged of Trafficking in Fentanyl – 14 Grams or More. The jury returned the verdict following a two-day trial in
Collier County.
On June 20,2019, the defendant sold drugs during an undercover operation by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau. August sold one ounce of heroin which tested positive for the presence of Fentanyl. He was later arrested.
Assistant State Attorney Brock Frazier and Assistant State Attorney Sarah Woodward prosecuted the case. Sentenced is scheduled for October 10, 2022.
