Sentenced for Crimes Against a Child

Bahena Padron, a man who sexually violated a very young girl over the course of three years in
Southwest Florida, was sentenced today to 30 years in prison for the crime. The prison sentence
is followed by lifetime sex offender probation. The defendant pled guilty to one count of Lewd
or Lascivious Molestation in a Lee County courtroom this afternoon.

The crimes happened between 2015 and 2018. They occurred in Fort Myers, Naples, and
Immokalee. The victim told a relative what the defendant did to her and the abuse was reported
to law enforcement.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the allegations and arrested the defendant in June
2019. The defendant then admitted to some of the sexual abuse following his arrest.

The plea agreement reached today alleviates the young victim from having to testify against her
attacker at trial.

Assistant State Attorney Lindsay Garza prosecuted the case.
