Sentenced for Sex Crimes Against a Child

Today Anthony Andrews, 29, was sentenced to decades in prison and lifetime Sexual Offender Probation for multiple crimes against a child. He was also designated a Sexual Predator.

Andrews was found guilty of two counts of Attempted Sexual Battery on a Child Less Than 12 Years of Age and one count each of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation, Solicit Lewd or Lascivious Conduct, Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance and Lewd and Lascivious Exhibition following a trial in Lee County in January 2019.

The crimes were committed in November 2017. The victim told her mother of the events who then reported the incident to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Andrews was sentenced as follows to be served concurrently;

Counts 1 & 2: Attempted Sexual Battery on a Child Less Than 12 Years of Age – 30 years in prison on each count

Count 3: Lewd and Lascivious Molestation – 25 years minimum/mandatory in prison followed by lifetime Sexual Offender Probation

Count 4: Solicit Lewd or Lascivious Conduct – 15 years in prison

Count 5: Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance – 15 years in prison

Count 6: Lewd or Lascivious Exhibition – 15 years in prison

Assistant State Attorney Francine Donnorummo, Chief of the Special Victims Unit and Assistant State Attorney Michael Colombo Jr. handled the case.
