This morning, Scott Joseph, 31, of Port Charlotte, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 70 months in prison, followed by 8 years of Sex Offender Probation, for one count of Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor. The defendant will also now be a Registered Sexual Offender.
In 2021 the defendant had sexual contact with a teenager. He got upset and made threatening statements to the victim when she asked him to leave her alone. The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office handled the investigation, leading to the arrest of the defendant.
