This morning, Jorel Millan Caraballo, 37, of Fort Myers, was adjudicated guilty and pled guilty, to three counts of Lewd and Lascivious Battery.
He was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by 10 years of Sex Offender Probation. He is also now designated a Sexual Offender.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office began investigating the defendant in January 2020 after the child victim told friends at school about Caraballo committing lewd acts on her. Those friends told a teacher who notified law enforcement. The investigation led to the arrest of the defendant.
Assistant State Attorney Christine Cummins, of the Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case.
