Sentencing in Murder Case

Michael Allen Pritchard has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for one count of Second-Degree Murder with a Firearm for a crime that occurred in Golden Gate Estates.

Assistant State Attorney Jennifer Brown prosecuted the case.

In November 2021, a man was reported missing by his family. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation that led them to the defendant, who lived with the victim. The defendant admitted to a witness that he shot and killed the man and buried him on his property.

Investigators executed a search warrant at the defendant’s house and located the victim’s body, where the defendant said it would be.
