Sentencing is set for June 5, 2023, for Jeffrey Scott Kaplan, after he was found guilty as charged of Sexual Battery. The jury returned the guilty verdict following a two-day trial in
Lee County.
In April 2022, the defendant was working at a massage therapy business in Fort Myers. During a massage session, he touched a client inappropriately, committing sexual battery. The victim demanded he stop and quickly left.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and their investigation led to the arrest of the defendant.
Assistant State Attorney Clark Cary, of the Special Victims Unit, prosecuted the case.
