State Attorney Fox Recognizes Exemplary Service

State Attorney Amira Fox presented the “Law Enforcement Exemplary Service Award” to Sergeant Stephen Macera with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Financial Crimes Bureau. Sgt.
Macera and his team are co-located in the Collier County Office of the State Attorney’s Office and work closely with the SAO’s Economic Crimes Unit.

“Sergeant Macera displays a courageous dedication to service, the criminal justice system, and the  community. He represents the Collier County Sheriff’s Office with the utmost integrity. I am honored to recognize his work with this award,“ said State Attorney Fox. Prosecutors who work daily with Sgt. Macera applaud his ability to construct economic crime cases through
detective work and his drive for excellence.

“Economic crime cases often involve the need for detailed financial records. Finding and compiling this evidence can be time consuming and needs to be meticulous for criminal cases. Sgt. Macera diligently leads his team of detectives with a laser focus with a single purpose, to protect the citizens of Collier County,” said State Attorney Fox.

The “Law Enforcement Exemplary Service Award” is presented to a member of law enforcement, selected by State Attorney Fox, from nominations received. It is awarded quarterly. A photo of the award is attached.
