Thirsty Criminal Gets 15 Years in Prison

Marcus Lance Tornow, 32, was sentenced to 15 years in prison for Burglary of a Dwelling as a Habitual Felony Offender and Prison Releasee Re-Offender.

In January of this year, Tornow broke into a home in Fort Myers in the middle of the night. The victim woke up and found the defendant in the house drinking out of one of their glasses. The victim demanded he leave and the defendant left. The victim called 911 and deputies from the Lee County Sheriff’s Office located Tornow a short distance away. He did not know the victim and just randomly broke into the house.

Assistant State Attorney Mary Anderson handled the case.
