Melquiades Rosario Bonifacio, 36, of Fort Myers, will be sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of two counts of Capital Sexual Battery on a Victim Less than 12 Years of Age. He was also found guilty of one count each of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation and Giving Obscene Material to a Minor following a trial in Lee County.
The case involves crimes that were reported by the 7-year-old victim to a family member in 2017. Sentencing is scheduled for January 28th.
