Capital Sexual Battery: Life in Prison

Sergio Oliveros, 71, was sentenced to life in prison for crimes against a child. Oliveros was found guilty by a jury of Capital Sexual Battery on a Child Less than 12 years of age, and 2 counts of Lewd or Lascivious Molestation.

In addition to the sentence of life in prison, he was also sentenced to 25 years in prison for the lewd molestation charges. He was also given lifetime sex-offender probation. All three sentences will run concurrently.

The victim was only 11 years old and was molested in 2016 while their family visited the defendant’s home. The defendant was ordered to never have contact with the victim or the victim’s family again.

Assistant State Attorneys Heather Searcy and Tyler Lovejoy prosecuted the case.
