Tonight Tommy Williams, 24, was found guilty as charged of Racketeering Conspiracy, a first degree felony, following a two week trial in Lee County. He faces up to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced on November 27th.
Williams was arrested and charged with RICO as part of Operation Great Lakes which was conducted by the Fort Myers Police Department and State Attorney’s Office 20th Judicial Circuit. There are more than a dozen remaining co-defendants.
Assistant State Attorney James Miller of our Economic Crimes Unit, Assistant State Attorney Leena Marcos and Special Assistant State Attorney Robert Lee prosecuted the case.
