The State Attorney’s Office has completed the prosecution of multiple defendants who were selling drugs in Collier County and were arrested in an undercover investigation.
Between April and May 2017 eight defendants had possession of and sold illegal narcotics to undercover detectives in Immokalee. This included an assortment of drugs including Cocaine, Heroin, Amphetamines (MDMA), and Marijuana. The investigation was conducted by the Collier County Sheriff’s Office Vice and Narcotics Bureau.
Each of the defendants pled to the charges filed by our office and have been sentenced as follows:
Damon Johnson, 42, was sentenced as a Habitual Felony Offender to 10 years in prison after pleading no contest to two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine and two counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent.
Morris Burgess, 38, was sentenced to 5 years in prison after pleading no contest to Sale or Delivery of Cocaine and Possession of Cocaine with Intent.
Warren Ruffins, 53, was sentenced as a Habitual Felony Offender to 8 and a half years in prison after pleading no contest to four counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine and four counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent.
Amolisha Coleman, 34, was sentenced to 3 years in prison after pleading no contest to; two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine, two counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent, one count of Possession of Cocaine, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and one count of Possession of Heroin.
Latoria Bell, 33, was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading no contest to two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine and two counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent.
Betty Williams, 47, was sentenced to 7 years in prison after pleading no contest to two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cocaine and two counts of Possession of Cocaine with Intent.
Nathaniel Tims, 58, was sentenced to 7 years in prison after pleading no contest to Sale or Delivery of Cocaine, Possession of Cocaine with Intent, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
Willie Butler, 58, was sentenced to one year in jail after pleading no contest to two counts of Sale or Delivery of Cannabis and three counts of Possession of Cannabis with Intent.
Each of the sentences came as a result of plea agreements. Assistant State Attorneys Kate Rumley and Laura Mason handled the cases.
