Law Enforcement/Public Event Tomorrow

Join us tomorrow, April 1st , for the 15th Annual State Attorney’s Office Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Softball Tournament. This free community event is at the Century Link Sports Complex in Lee County, next to Hammond Stadium. Gates open at 8 a.m. and the event ends at 6 p.m.

Teams from law enforcement agencies throughout Southwest Florida will be participating for two coveted division titles. There will be four games going on during the course of the day on four different fields.

This event allows law enforcement to have a day of fun. It also gives the public a chance to come out and watch the games. There will be raffle prizes, carnival games and food. There will also be the Lee County Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. team. All profits go to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers which helps support all law enforcement by helping get some of the area’s most wanted off the streets through anonymous tips.

Agencies participating with teams are; the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Myers Police Department, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office, Cape Coral Police Department, Lee County Port Authority Police, Florida Highway Patrol, Naples Police Department, the State Attorney’s Office and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
