Lee County Grand Jury Indictment

Today the Lee County Grand Jury returned an indictment in the cases against 17 year-old Clayton Combs and 16-year-old Justin Wirth. Both Combs and Wirth were indicted on two counts of First Degree Murder and one count of Robbery. They are accused of killing Amy Lorah and her son William Dalton Haley on April 8, 2012.

Combs and Wirth are being charged as adults and will be transferred from a juvenile facility to the Lee County jail. They are being held with no bond. They face life in prison if convicted. Because of their ages, the law states that the death penalty is not a possible sentence in this case.

Judge Edward Volz set arraignment in both cases for Monday, May 7th.
