Today the State Attorney’s Office 20th Judicial Circuit has filed a Notice of Intent to Seek the Death Penalty in the case against Jorge Manuel Guerrero Torres for the murder of 9 year old Diana Alvarez.
The defendant was charged by indictment from the Lee County Grand Jury with the capital offense of First Degree Murder on May 3, 2018. Torres was arraigned on May 7th and remains in custody on a hold no bond.
Torres was also indicted for Kidnapping and Lewd or Lascivious Molestation against Diana.
