Timothy Alexander was found guilty as charged of two counts of Sexual Battery by Multiple Perpetrators. The defendant raped a 16-year-old girl on a party bus in 2013 in Hendry County. The teenage victim took the stand and testified against her accuser.
Assistant State Attorneys John Dommerich Jr. and Abe Thornburg prosecuted the case. The fourday trial in Hendry County had nine State witnesses and four witnesses for the defense. Alexander was pro-se, so represented himself at trial.
There is a co-defendant in the case also facing charges for the crime who is set for trial next month.
Sentencing for Alexander is scheduled for June 22nd. He faces up to 60 years in prison.
