Stephen Reynaert, 28, was sentenced to nine years in prison this morning followed by five years of probation. He plead guilty to one count of Sexual Activity with a Child.
Due to the plea agreement, the child victim did not have to be deposed and go through recounting the crime again. It happened in Lee County in 2015 and 2016. The child told her mother about the crimes during a family vacation.
Assistant State Attorney Tyler Lovejoy of our Special Victims Unit handled the case. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office provided a very thorough investigation assisting in the prosecution.
